The government approved the scholarship policy (2015-2019)

In accordance with the scholarship act, the government approved the scholarship policy for the next five years with a focus on undersubscribed professions. The purpose of scholarships for undersubscribed programmes is to encourage the young to study for the professions where there is a perceived difference between the number of available graduates and expected number of jobs available on the market. In accordance with the scholarship act, the government will provide up to 1.2 million euros annually from the labour ministry fund and the European Social Fund. The fund will publish a public call for up to 1,000 scholarships for undersubscribed professions. In accordance with the scholarship act, the scholarship for undersubscribed professions is 100 euros a month and does not exclude receiving other government or Zois (for gifted students) scholarships, but does exclude scholarships from companies. Call for scholarships for undersubscribed professions for 2015/2016 is to be published in June.
